Kazakhstan to ban export of oil products by motor transport
Nur-Sultan, August 15 - Neftegaz.RU. Export of oil products by motor transport is planned to be temporarily banned in the country, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported. According to the order, the ban will be introduced for 6 months.
The execution of the document will be responsible Vice Ministers of Energy, Finance, Internal Affairs and Chairman of the National Security Committee.
In April 2019, Kazakhstan prohibited export of diesel fuel by motor transport. The ban was introduced for 6 months and entered into force from April 8. The energy authorities said the ban was introduced for the interests of the domestic agricultural producers.
Prices for petroleum and diesel fuel in Kazakhstan are lower than in Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Energy earlier reported that owners of the cars fro neighbor countries come to Kazakhstan for cheaper petroleum.
