Gazpromneft-Aero and SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji sign agreement on fueling in Russia

Gazpromneft-Aero, the jet fuel operator of Gazprom Neft, reported on July 17, 2017, that the company and SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji, a jet fuel supplier in Turkey, have signed an agreement, which provides for the fueling of partner airlines in airports where Gazpromneft-Aero operates.

In accordance with the agreement, in June 2017 Gazpromneft-Aero provided SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji with access to its network of airports in Russia, and started fueling Pegasus Airlines in the Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk).

The total volume of annual supplies will exceed 1,100 tons of jet fuel.

Vladimir Egorov, the General Director of Gazpromneft-Aero, said: «Tourism airline traffic between Russia and Turkey is gradually recovering. During the 1st half of 2017, the total volume of our fueling in Turkey amounted to 13 thousand tons of jet fuel, which is triple the figure for the same period in 2016. Cooperation with SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji is a crucial step towards the development of company’s international business. It will help to strengthen our position in the region, where we have been operating since 2010, as well as increase the number of suppliers

Said Alp Karahan, the International Sales Director at SOCAR Turkey Petrol Enerji, said: «Collaboration between Socar Turkey and Gazpromneft-Aero is of high importance to us. The region’s 2 strong companies joined their forces to offer their customers a wide network and top quality services in the aviation industry. We are confident that this will lead to a more comprehensive cooperation in every possible business line between the 2 companies in the future. The long lasting and strong relationship between Russia and Turkey will provide a solid ground for developing this cooperation.»
