Uzbekistan has increased gas prices for domestic consumers

According to the report of the country´s Finance Ministry on November 15, 2017, Uzbekistan has increased gas prices for domestic consumers.

The Ministry of Finance will allocate 2 trillion sums (about $250 million) to oil refineries for the import of hydrocarbon raw materials and finished petroleum products.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to allocate additional funds from the state budget to Toshshahartranshizmat for 2017-2018 to prevent a sharp increase in tariffs for transportation.

Another important measure is the reduction of the tax on the consumption of motor gasoline and diesel fuel by 50 % from November 15, 2017.

In accordance with the document, the hydrocarbon raw materials imported by Uzbek companies regardless of the form of ownership and use are exempted from customs payments by January 1, 2020.

Oil refineries of the Uznefteprodukt are exempted from income tax.

The leadership of the company earlier reported that it plans to import up to 1 million tons of oil from Russia and Kazakhstan since 2018 to supply its refineries.
