Belorusneft builds another prospecting well in Russia's Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District

Minsk, August 2 - Neftegaz.RU. Belorusneft has built another prospecting well in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Russia, the press service of the Belarusian industrial group told BelTa.

Prospecting well No.829 has been built in the Metelnoye field deposit. Plans to build it had been prompted by results of seismic surveying work, processing and re-interpretation of field data collected in the Izvestinsky licensed site.

Specialists of the Belarusian oil industry R&D institute BelNIPIneft worked out detailed geological features of field deposits and earmarked promising sites for deep drilling in 2015. The Vostochno-Metelnaya site was one of them. The prospecting well is supposed to greatly increase the extraction of gas condensate and natural gas. Apart from that, the company has finished the 1st part of this year's contract in fields of RN-Krasnodarneftegaz Company.

The Belarusian company has performed 28 well operations, with plans to perform 46 hydrocracking operations this year. The Belarusian company has also fulfilled 15 hydrocracking operations for RN-Stavropolneftegaz Company. Another 20 operations will be carried out as part of the next stage. Once those are done, the Belarusian team will return to Krasnodar Territory.

Belarusian specialists are also working in Ukraine right now. About 30 operations have been performed on wells run by UkrGasVydobuvannya Company in Poltava Oblast so far this year. The Ukrainian side has prepared wells for hydrocracking operations in more locations.

All the operations in Ukraine are carried out under the aegis of Service Oil, a daughter enterprise of Belorusneft. The source stressed that the company's vehicle fleet and equipment for hydrocracking operations are getting gradually modernized. A large choice of vehicles, equipment, and tools has yet to be made and commissioned.
