The Syzran Refinery ecology laboratory monitors the atmosphere, waste and natural waters, soil, subsoils, and wastes. It includes 3 automatic fixed stations and a mobile ecology laboratory for atmosphere air controlling.
The fixed stations using advanced software are installed in residential areas closest to the industrial area. The stations are fitted with high-precision equipment: gas analyzers, including of chromatograph type to determine the chemical composition of air and measure the mass concentration of substances in the atmosphere, pure nitrogen generators, as well as devices for daily collection of samples and meteorological instruments.
The mobile ecology laboratory for operational atmosphere air controlling in residential areas of Syzran is also fitted with similar equipment.
Syzran Refinery is implementing an investment programme to modernise production. Construction of new technological units and reconstruction of existing ones are carried out taking into account the requirements of the environmental laws and using state-of-the-art technologies to minimize the environmental impact. Modernisation of production is accompanied by the development of environment-oriented facilities.
