Rusneftekhim takes an active interest in TRIZ (hard-to-recover reserves) production

Moscow, May 22 - Neftegaz.RU. The management of the Rusneftekhim (Rusneftekhim Oil Company JSC) took part in the video conference «Shale Oil. Features of the geological structure, oil and gas potential and development methods (the Bazhenov Formation of Western Siberia)».

Rusneftekhim is actively interested in developing hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves. In this connection, the company management took part in the video conference «Shale oil. Features of the geological structure, oil and gas potential and development methods (illustrated by the case of the Bazhenov Formation of Western Siberia)». The speaker was an expert from the State Reserves Committee, director of Shpilman Brothers LLC, honored geologist of Ugra region - Alexander Shpilman.

The first part of the report was devoted to the assessment of oil reserves and resources in the Bazhenov Formation, most of which are located in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.

Next, the topics of development methods of the Bazhenov Formation deposits were discussed.
Much attention was paid to the evaluation of resources in the Bazhenov strata and the prospects for oil production until 2030.

Anastasia Shubina, head of the State Commission on Mineral Resources department, cited the latest figures on the state balance of about a hundred fields in which the Bazhenov Formation is being developed, thirty four of which passed state expertise.

Summing up, it can be noted that at the moment it is very important to analyze the information received from subsoil users in order to gain experience and develop production of hard-to-recover reserves.

Also the following members attended the conference: Valery Karpov Ph.D. merit Russian geologist, Dmitry Kiselev scientific secretary of Slavneft, representative of the Russian geological holding Rosgeologia Petr Kozub, Alexander Yakovlev Russneft, Maxim Surmaev Tatneft.

Rusneftekhim owns a fund of highly productive gas condensate wells located in the Purovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district in the territory of the Urengoy oil and gas condensate field, which is one of the largest in the world, in the operating area of «Gazprom dobycha Urengoy» subsidiary of Gazprom.
