Naftogaz and China's Sinosure discuss further cooperation

Kiev, April 19 - Neftegaz.RU. Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev held a meeting yesterday with President of Sinosure China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation Wang Tingke. The parties discussed cooperation between the 2 corporations and Sinosure President gained insights into Naftogaz group’s business.

Earlier in Beijing, Naftogaz of Ukraine and Sinosure Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding regarding a $1 billion insurance quota, which enables loans and foreign direct investments from Chinese banks, financial institutions and corporations.

Naftogaz and representatives of China’s leading financial institutions also negotiated possible conditions and financial tools for Naftogaz group projects regarding supplies of equipment and services.

“Our team will continue to attract foreign direct investments and loans in order to increase gas production and develop renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Cooperation with Chinese corporations in this field is very promising for both Naftogaz group and for Ukraine,” commented Kobolyev.
