BP-Occidental Bid Wins Pakistan's Badin 1 Contract

A joint venture of BP and Occidental Petroleum was the top bidder for Pakistan's Badin 1 oil and gas field in a government sale, the privatization commission has said.

The BP-Occidental venture offered $131 million for a 40 percent stake in the field that has 62 million barrels of oil and 318 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
The government received offers totaling $176 million for minority stakes in nine oil and gas fields.
