LUKoil is negotiating the establishment of a consortium with one of the candidates for the purchase of Petrom, the Romanian oil company.
According to the president of LUKoil Downstream Romania, Nicolae Ciornii, one of the companies participating in the tender is negotiating with LUKoil on the formation of a consortium. Ciornii stated this is not Gazprom.
Besides Gazprom other participants of the tender are American occidental Oil and Gas, Austrian OMV, Hungarian MOL, Polish PKN Orlen, Greek Hellenic Petroleum and Swiss Glencore.
