Suit Filed Against Shell
Class action stems from company's reserve re-classification...
Royal Dutch/Shell is facing a class action lawsuit that accuses the company of deliberately violating accounting rules by overestimating its proven reserves.
Law firm Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach LLP filed the suit against Shell and its senior directors on behalf of shareholders on Friday January 23.
The suit is not a complete surprise following Shell's shock announcement that it had overestimated its proven reserves by 20 percent.
