Sibneft creation showing its stuff on global market...
Russian Aluminium's (RusAl) earnings for 2003 were up 12% over 2002 and totaled $4.5 billion. Revenues from sales in international markets came to $3.7 billion, up from $3.4 billion the year before.
Basic to the revenue rise were higher aluminium prices on the London Metals Market and increased output of aluminium by the firm.
The company is anticipating a significant increase in demand for aluminium in 2004 of between 5% and 7%.
RusAl was created by Sibneft stockholders and entrepreneur Oleg Deripaska. It is the source of 75% of Russian and 10% of world supplies of first-stage aluminium.
The company plans to double aluminium output over the course of 10 years.
