Yukos Goes American

The board of directors of Yukos has endorsed Semen Kukes as its chairman at today's meeting, and appointed (US citizen) Steven Theede president of Yukos-Moscow (subsidiary company), Yukos said in a press release distributed today in English.

The board also approved the appointment of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey as the board's legal adviser and of JP Morgan as the board's financial consultant for the talks with shareholders of Sibneft (on a proposed merger between the two companies).
