Saudi Paper Reports American/French Contracts Signed

Al-Riyadh newspaper has reported the signing of a contract with the American Shell Oil Company and the French TotalFinaElf Oil Company for the development of oil fields in Saudi Arabia.

The paper noted that the government authorized Oil Minister Ali a-Nu'aymi to sign the agreement, and that these companies will act in the matter in cooperation with the Saudi Aramco Oil Company.
