Yukos Calls in the Negotiators

Under international standards of corporate governance, Yukos has hired international consultants for negotiations with Sibneft's former shareholders.

According to a Yukos press statement, Credit Suisse First Boston will be the financial consultant, and Cleary Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton will be the legal consultant.

These consultants will help settle the purchase of 92 percent in Sibneft from YUKOS by Sibneft's former majority shareholders. These consultants are to observe pursuing interests of all YUKOS shareholders.
