According to LG Electronics, January revenues reached $1.64 billion, up 19.6% Y/Y and 16.7% M/M.

Speaking by departments, the digital display and multi-media departments had higher revenues, which reached $630 million, up 14.8% Y/Y, due largely to increasing exports of PDP, LCD and rear projection TVs and DVD machines. The PDP revenues increase 71% Y/Y due to steady production of the second PDP line.

As for the information telecommunication department, revenues increased 45.5% to $550 million Y/Y, up 13.5% M/M. Export of GSM mobile phone reached 797,000 units, up 112.5% Y/Y while sales volume of mobile phones reached 2,843,000 units generally, up respectively.55.1% Y/Y and 6% M/M.

As export of air conditioner, washing machine and duct collector to Europe and North America is increasing, revenues of these items reached $450 million, up 5% Y/Y and 73.2% M/M.
