Oil Company Goes Domestic
Replacement of foreign equipment with domestic equipment top priority....
According to a press release from Russian firm Surgutneftegaz, the company plans to replace 50% of imported equipment, spare parts and materials with Russian counterparts.
'For 2004 the company plans to place orders for the manufactur of spare parts and materials under the import substitution program worth 355.7 million rubles. The expected 'economic effect' is over 317.3 million rubles,' the statement said.
