ChevronTexaco Not Deterred

ChevronTexaco been granted approval by the Venezuelan government to develop Block 3 of the Deltana platform offshore gas project. The license was granted with special conditions and payment of a bonus calculated at $5 million. Minister Rafael Ramirez said that Chevron Texaco would start drilling three wells in Block 2, which it also operates, with an investment of $170 million.
