Ford Hybrid Around the Corner

US automotive giant Ford has agreed to a license agreement with Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. for the use of Toyata's hybrid gasoline and battery-powered technology.

Toyota, which has obtained some 900 patents related to the hybrid technology overseas, disclosed neither the license fee nor its duration.

Ford plans to introduce a hybrid version of its popular Escape sport utility vehicle later this year.
