Mobil denies claims that shortage is sign of fuel crisis down south....

A Fuel Crisis»

Oil company Mobil has blamed a breakdown of its computerised fuel ordering system for why some of its Auckland, New Zealand stations ran out of fuel, some for the past five days.

Some Mobil stations around Auckland have been waiting for fuel trucks to replenish stock since last week, when the computerised system broke down for two days.

Rival companies Shell, BP and Gull say they have not been affected by a fuel shortage and Gull says Mobil's situation is a sign of a fuel crisis.

However, Shell, BP and Mobil dispute the claim, saying they have plenty of fuel.
