LUKoil Sells 5 Tankers
6.5 thousand ton giants find new owners...
LUKoil's Artic-Tanker subsidiary has sold 5 river-sea class tankers to Maltese IP Shipping for $52 million, according to the LUKoil press service. The tankers with a total tonnage of 6.5 thousand tons were built on order of the Volgograd shipping factory.
Not less than $9 million was spent on the construction of each tanker. The tankers were built to carry oil and oil products. Each tanker has a length of 130 meters, width of 16.5 meters and height of 6.8 meters. In addition, the tankers have a range of 4 thousand miles at an average speed 11.5 knots.
