Signing gives company leading role in supply...
LUKoil announced that its wholly owned subsidiary LITASCO signed a contract with Refinery Associates of Texas on the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel to the northern provinces. Under the contract the Russian party undertakes all operations connected with logistics, commodities and financial support of the supplies.
Previously it was Halliburton that supplied petroleum products to the American troops in Iraq.
The main strategic task of the company by signing this contract is restarting development of the gigantic oil field West Qurna-2 signed with the regime of Saddam Hussein.
