Former Enron treasurer Lea Fastow has withdrawn her guilty plea after a US judge threw out a plea deal she had worked out with federal prosecutors.
Lea Fastow is married to former Enron chief financial officer Andrew Fastow who agreed to a 10-year jail term and to cooperate with government prosecutors after his wife's deal was thrashed out.
The mother-of-two had admitted one charge of filing a false tax return in exchange for a five month jail term and five months' home confinement.
