Schlumberger is likely to start production of oil pumps in Siberia
Oil world second-largest service company Schlumberger is likely to start production of oil pumps in Siberia, Russia next year.
Schlumberger will manufacture the pumps in Tyumen, because it is close to the company's main work sites in western Siberia and the Komi republic.

Schlumberger said this month Russia and China will continue to be the company's fastest-growing markets. The company, which has operated in Russia since 1929, bought a stake this year in PetroAlliance, Russia's largest independent oil field services contractor, and will buy the rest of the company in 2005 and 2006.
