YUKOS Chairman Will Soon Be Fired

Imprisoned Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky is going to ask the shareholders to fire Viktor Gerashchenko, who is the chairman of YUKOS company, according to Khodorkovsky?s lawyer.
He will request the removal of Chairman Victor Gerashchenko at the next meeting of YUKOS shareholders.
As Khodorkovsky attorney Anton Drel said, "Since the last meeting of the Board of Directors on June 24, it has become clear that shareholders? hopes for a dialogue with the government with the help of Victor Gerashchenko have collapsed?The state authorities have repeatedly refused to meet the board members. Moreover, competent sources claim that the further presence of Gerashchenko on the board is limiting the dialogue, while there is no idea other than talking to the government."
