Pemex Will Revise Workers' Salaries
Pemex and the petroleum workers union have created a mixed commission to reconsider salaries
Mexican state oil company Pemex and the STPRM petroleum workers union have created a mixed commission to revise salaries for the 2004-2005 period.
Pemex director general Raul Munoz and corporate administration director Octavio Aguilar, together with STPRM secretary Carlos Romero led the creation of the commission, which will become operative from August 1.
The fact that all Pemex workers are unionized makes the relationship between Pemex and STPRM stronger than ever, Munoz said, adding that there is a climate of respect, communication and coordination between the organizations that has resulted in increased efficiency, productivity and transparency in administrative processes.
