The Russia?s state-run oil and gas company Rosneft has a new chairman.
He is Igor Sechin, who has worked with President Putin for a decade and is now the deputy head of his administration, replaces former Energy Minister Igor Yusufov.
Political and market analysts all say that the appointment means that the government intends to control the Company and the big business in Russia.
"Sechin's appointment can mean only one thing -- that the state is now officially increasing its influence over business structures," said Alexei Mukhin, head of the Center for Political Information think-tank. He added that Sechin has been "actively lobbying" Rosneft's interests for the last year.
Since 2000 Sechin has been the deputy head of administration of Russian President. He is the only person, who was carried by Putin at his every new appointment.
