Halliburton Concealed Extra 2 mln of Its Fees

According to American newspapers, Pentagon auditors allege that US oil service company Halliburton has failed to give an account for $1.8 billion of its work in Iraq and Kuwait.

The government is likely to withhold further payments to Halliburton.

The company?s fees in question represent more than 40 percent of the $4.18 billion that its subsidiary KBR has billed the Pentagon for its work in Iraq and Kuwait, which has already filed for bankruptcy, and Halliburton has warned its shareholders that any efforts by the Pentagon to withhold payments could hurt its liquidity.
