ConocoPhillips Inc. said Tuesday, Aug. 31, it does not intend to exercise an option to increase its 16.33% stake in Czech refiner Ceska Rafinerska following a similar decision a day earlier by Royal Dutch/Shell Group.
The last company to decide to increase its stake in Ceska Rafinerska is Italian Eni SpA's AGIP subsidiary, the third partner in the IOC consortium that holds 49% of the refinery. Analysts, however, expect the Italian company to follow suit by the time the deadline falls Wednesday, Sept. 1.
