Exxon Mobil Contributes 100 Thousand

Oil and gas firm Exxon Mobil credited 100,000 from the ExxonMobil Foundation to the American Red Cross to aid the thousands of victims devastated by Hurricane Frances.

The Red Cross has opened emergency shelters providing relief, meals and shelter.
"For the second time in less than a month, the Red Cross has come to the aid of thousands of people affected by the recent hurricanes," said Bob Rich, executive vice president, ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing. "We commend the Red Cross for its immediate response to these natural disasters. Their efforts help ensure the funds and resources are available to meet the immediate needs of the people affected by this hurricane."
Skip Skeiz, senior vice president, Growth and Integrated Development, the American Red Cross, said, "We are so grateful for the immediate $100,000 commitment today from ExxonMobil in helping the American Red Cross respond to those people whose lives were devastated by what Hurricane Frances delivered. American Red Cross faces extraordinary needs in responding to impacted people, each whose experiences exceed description and whose losses can only be categorized as profound. We so deeply value the proactive response ExxonMobil has made to the American people during this time of National disaster."
