Russian state-run oil company Rosneft has plans to produce 70 million tons of oil and 70 billion cubic meters of gas by 2020, according to the statement of the company?s president Sergei Bogdanchikov.
He said at the fourth All-Russia Oil and Gas Week in Moscow on Tuesday that Rosneft company plans to reach this level based on its current reserves. In particular, the Far East and Sakhalin will account for 15 million - 18 million tons, Western Siberia - 10 million tons, Komi republic - 11 million tons, Krasnoyarsk territory -14 million tons, Eastern Siberia - 4 million tons and Southern Russia -5 million tons.
Bogdanchikov also said that he hopes that the merger with Gazprom will give them a new stimulus.
He said that at the moment Rosneft is implementing 26 projects. By 2013 the company plans to produce 48 million - 50 million tonnes per year, up from 24 million tons at the present and 50 bcm of gas.
