Menatep To Sell Yukos Shares

Group Menatep, the largest shareholder of Russian beleaguered oil giant Yukos may sell its shares in the near future, according to the Yukos board of directors? chairman, Viktor Gerashchenko.

He said Monday at the opening of the international conference in Hong Kong that Menatep might cease to be one of the owners of Yukos in the very near future, i.e. the financial group may sell its share in the oil company.

The Yukos chairman did not make any forecasts about Yukos? doom, saying it depends much on the destiny of its largest unit Yuganskneftegaz.
