Gazprom expects 2004 export yield to increase
Russia?s Gazprom, the world's biggest natural gas producer, expects 2004 export yield to increase 7.9 percent compared with last year's record due to surging prices.
The company will earn $17.8 billion from sales of gas to buyers outside of the former Soviet Union this year, compared with $16.5 billion last year, according to the deputy chief executive Alexander Ryazanov.
Gazprom will export 143 billion cubic meters of gas outside of the former Soviet Union, compared with a plan of 140 bcm, and with 2003, when it exported 133 bcm. That excludes Central Asian gas pumped through Russia.
