Gazprom Conquers UK Gas Market

Russian natural gas monopoly Gazprom intends to invade 10 per cent of the UK gas market by 2010 by targeting large industrial consumers.

British officials said Gazprom?s use of existing pipelines across Europe adrenalized other gas producers, which have to invest in new routes and liquefied natural gas terminals to import gas from Norway, the Netherlands, Qatar and Egypt.
