Russian oil company Sibneft has been handed a tax bill
Russian oil company Sibneft has been handed a tax bill for some 21 billion rubles ($755 million), according to Interfax report on Wednesday.
The report cited an unidentified source as saying that the claims "were in connection with Sibneft's failure to pay taxes starting from 2000."
It was unclear if the tax bill was in addition to some $1 billion in back tax claims that Sibneft was handed in March.
John Mann, a spokesman for Sibneft, refused to comment.
