Movers in Halliburton

The company said it will no longer have chief executives at each of its business units

Movers in Halliburton

US oilfield service company Halliburton Co., said on Thursday it named a new COO as part of a management restructuring under which it will no longer have chief executives at each of its business units. The move occurs in the light of a recent investigation into its contracts in Iraq this year.

Andrew Lane, 45 was named by Halliburton as chief operating officer and executive vice president, effective immediately. He will report to chairman, president and CEO Dave Lesar in a move Halliburton said is designed to consolidate and focus customer service.

Halliburton also said John Gibson will leave his post as chief executive of Halliburton's Energy Services Group to take a position with another company.
