Vimpelcom Is Under A Cloud

Investors sold the bonds of Russia?s telecoms company VimpelCom on Wednesday in fear that Russia?s tax authority?s demand of tax claim could increase in the same way like in Yukos situation.

The Russian tax authorities ordered the No. 2 telecoms firm to pay the claim from 2001, the firm said on Wednesday.

VimpelCom said it had enough resources to pay the bill at its current level.
