Statoil To Resume Production Soon

Norway?s oil and gas company Statoil ASA will resume production on the Snorre North Sea oil platform that was shut down of service after a gas leak by the end of the year.

The Snorre A platform was shut down Nov. 28 after a gas leak that resulted in the evacuation of 180 workers. The platform's daily production of 130,000 barrels of oil was affected, along with 75,000 barrels a day from the nearby Vigdis field.
