Nigeria's state oil company, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corp., has fired 2,355 workers in a fresh round of restructuring of the company.
The company?s CEO Funsho Kupolokun commented, "The NNPC is at the verge of a new phase in its existence and requires a new and more effective balance in terms of skills, age and experience.?
He added, that the exercise cut across all cadres of the corporation's workforce.
