The tax claim of Russia's the second biggest telecoms company Vimpelcom for 2001 could be cut significantly, according to Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov, Reuters reported.
"I think that after the usual procedure when the company voices its objections, the sum of the claim will be cut," Shatalov said, referring to the $158 million in back taxes.
"The cut will be significant."
