Halliburton: Brazil Achieves Oil Sufficiency

Halliburton said Wednesday it is finishing the Barracuda-Caratinga project in Brazil after achieving first oil production.

After the results of works at Barracuda-Caratinga project, Brazil is expected ?to achieve oil self-sufficiency," according to Andy Lane, chief operating officer of Halliburton.

Several weeks ago Halliburton and Brazil's Petrobras settled their disputes over the project.
