Petroleos Mexicanos is to be fined and may face several criminal charges
Mexican state-owned oil company Petroleos Mexicanos is to be fined as much as $200,000 and may face several criminal charges for spilling 5,000 barrels of crude into a river flowing into the Gulf of Mexico, coating local beaches, a Mexican government said Thursday.
The Environmental Protection Agency plans to file a criminal complaint against Pemex in January.
