Statoil's hopes of resuming production at Snorre A by the end of the week have been frustrated by weather problems and the need for more topside checks.
Arne Cock, vice president for Snorre operations, said, "Bad weather has prevented us from carrying out the necessary inspection of the subsea template.?
"At the same time, work on installing a topside Xmas tree has exposed weaknesses which need further investigation."
