Russia's gas giant Gazprom announced Wednesday it had acquired large stakes in two joint-venture projects to develop major gas and oil fields.
Russia?s state-owned oil company Rosneft, which bought 100 % interest of Baikal Finance Group, the buyer of Yuganskneftegaz, is being folded into Gazprom. The merge will create a state-run company with reserves six times those of Exxon Mobil Corp.
