ConocoPhillips Buys Back Its Shares
in a repurchase program
US oil and gas firm ConocoPhillips will buy back approximately $1 billion of its shares in a repurchase program to offset share dilution from stock-based compensation programs.
The company said the buybacks will be made at management's direction.
ConocoPhillips also announced a quarterly dividend of 50 cents a share, payable March 1 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 15.
