This Wednesday Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller announced that the merger of Gazprom and state-run oil firm Rosneft was coming in force. He added that the merge will not include former Yukos unit Yuganskneftegaz, acquired by Rosneft last year. It will become a standalone state oil company.
However, on Thursday, Rosneft published a refutation of Gazprom?s statement, asserting that Yuganskneftegaz will not be a separate company.
In its press release Rosneft challenged the structure of its merger with Gazprom as presented by Miller.
