Iran has discovered two new oil and gas fields in the south of the country, according to Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.
The new oil field, with an estimated capacity of 5.7 billion barrels, was located in the southern province of Khuzestan, 40 km northeast of the provincial capital of Ahvaz.
