Argentina Boycotts Shell

Argentina?s President Nestor Kirchner on Thursday called for a "national boycott" of oil and gas company Royal Dutch/Shell, because it established too high prices on fuel.

Shell controls 16.5 percent of Argentina?s liquid fuel market. The company has 930 gas stations in the country. Recently Shell hiked its gasoline prices by as much as 4.2 percent.

A group of strikers led by Luis Delia echoed the president's call and surrounded the Shell's headquarters. They also urged consumers not to pump oil at Shell's gas stations.
