More And More Enron Liars Emerge

A former boss of internet business of notorious US energy giant Enron has said he and other executives lied to analysts to boost the firm's share price, BBC reported.
Ken Rice confessed at a trial in Houston that he and ex-Enron boss Jeffrey Skilling and four others had inflated the division's capabilities.

Mr Rice has pleaded guilty to a charge of securities fraud and is testifying as part of a deal with prosecutors.

Mr Skilling and the other defendants have all pleaded not guilty.
Former US energy giant Enron went bankrupt in December 2001 with massive debts.

Mr Skilling is awaiting his own fraud trial next year and has pleaded not guilty to all charges levelled against him.

The other defendants - former joint chief executive of Enron's broadband division Joseph Hirko, company vice-presidents Scott Yeager, Rex Shelby and Kevin Howard, senior accounting director Michael Krautz - also have pleaded not guilty.
