The resources of Russian gold producer Vasilyevsky Pit are estimated at about 500 tons of gold. The company has already started developing some of its deposits, their resources being over 113 tons.
Vasilyevsky Pit plans this year to process 300 thousand tons of ore, in 2006 ? 1 million tons that will allow producing about 5 tons of gold a year. By 2008 gold mining production will have amounted to 6 tons, the company representatives say.
