The China National Offshore Oil Company Ltd. announced Saturday that its 2005 first quarter profit from oil and natural gas in the reached 11.42 billion yuan ($1.38 billion), 48.1 percent higher than the same period last year.
In the first quarter, the CNOOC Ltd. saw a daily net output of 411,424 barrels oil, 13.4 percent more than the same period of last year.
According to the quarterly report of the CNOOC Ltd., its daily oil and natural gas net output in the first quarter of 2005 in China's sea area reached 373,984 barrels oil equivalent, growing by 19 percent over the same period of last year.
